2nd alarm at ranch house
A 2nd alarm was transmitted enroute after seeing smoke in the distance at this occupied house in Upton on Dec. 8, 2009. A reported explosion came into fire alarm shortly after 11am. This raised ranch was fully involved upon arrival and it took about an hour to bring this blaze under control.

A body was found inside a ranch house that burned on Green Bay’s far west side.

Ranch House Close Call, RIT Rescue
First arriving crews found heavy fire in an attached garage with extension into the house. Station 82 crews assisted with fire suppression, roof ventilation and overhaul. One occupant of the home was treated and transported for smoke inhalation. Also a Rehoboth Beach Firefighter went into cardiac arrest on scene. This was witnessed by the RIT team from Bethany Beach who immediatly began CPR. They connected him to the AED which advised to shock. One shock was delivered which restored heart beat and breathing. EMS 100 (paramedic supervisor) quickly arrived on scene and the firefighter was transported to BMC shortly after.

It will soon be easier for officers in Phenix City and Russell County to do their jobs.
